These baskets are woven by women from a region called Singida in Tanzania. The Nyasi grass is woven into practical storage baskets than can be used anywhere in the house, from the kitchen to the bathroom. They also make for a beautiful centerpiece on the table as a fruit basket or as a decorative bowl.
